More information here on the fair, now in its eleventh year.
Teachers for Social Justice is excited to invite allies, supporters, educators, students, families and community members to participate in and help us to create the 2011 Teaching for Social Justice Curriculum Fair! This year's theme is:
DEFEND AND TRANSFORM PUBLIC EDUCATION
Each year this popular education event has grown because of the participation of folks around Chicago, the Midwest, the Country, the Globe, who are dedicated to creating and practicing liberatory education and who see a vision for a just society as completely intertwined with our roles as educators.
Once again, we reach out to YOU to engage with us in making this road as we walk it. Save this date. Spread the news. Volunteer to help plan the Fair or to help out on the day of. Submit a proposal for a workshop. Host a resource table. Or, be part of the central purpose of the Fair and PRESENT A SOCIAL JUSTICE CURRICULUM!
As planning for the Fair comes together we will update this event page, so check back with us periodically! You can also check for updates on our website: http://www.teachersforjustice.org/
